Do Bianchi Wine Selections
Real wines for real people…
The name “do bianchi” (pronounced doh BEE’AHN-kee) is Venetian dialect for “2 white wines.” Go into any osteria, bacaro, cicchetteria, or bar in Venice and say do bianchi and you will be poured two little glasses of white wine. (11 a.m. is the cappuccino cut-off time and the aperitivo launch time, fyi.)
After so many of my friends, and colleagues asked me to source wines for them, I created Do Bianchi Wine Selections in 2009 — a retail wine sales program that brings real wines made by real people for real people.
Do Bianchi Wine Selections focuses on wines from Italy but also includes many French labels: affordable, food-friendly wines, wines made with indigenous grape varieties, old-school and old-world wines, wines made in natural style.
You won’t find any oaky Merlot or Cabernet here! You’ll find yummy native grape varieties made using honest vinification techniques…
